Not As Impressed

While I think that Dr. Pepper's original intention to live up to their word was nice their website was hammered during the time allotted to download the coupon for a free soda and I couldn't get one.

Very upsetting. Free Dr. Pepper is good. Better than regular old "paid for it" Dr. Pepper.

I'm Impressed

I like Dr. Pepper. I think it's great all on its own, but the company has climbed a rung on the respect ladder.

Earlier this year the company that makes Dr. Pepper stated that they would "give a free soda to everyone in America" if the Guns N Roses record "Chinese Democracy" was ever released. I loved the original story because someone (other than me) thought, and hoped, that Axl would never get this album out to the masses. Well he did and Dr. Pepper is standing by it's word.

Starting on Sunday November 23rd at 12:01am Dr. Pepper will offer a coupon for one free soda on it's website. The offer will last for 24 hours.

While I'm not at all excited that someone is letting Guns N Roses release another record, I am quite impressed that the fine people who make Dr. Pepper, after having lost a bet they initiated, are standing up to their word.

Dr. Pepper stands by their word.
