A few months ago I watched Jeffrey Ross' Comedy Central special. While I think he's funny, Larry stole the show. Jeffrey asked for someone to come up from the audience to play piano while he read poetry. This is what happened.

Kung Fu Robots
This movie was huge when I was a kid. I recently watched it again, and while it's no where near as great as I thought it was when I was nine, you can't really argue with Kung Fu Robots.

Congratulations!
Congratulations to saxophonist Miguel Zenon, one of the 2008 MacArthur Grant recipients. We're all looking forward to hearing what comes out of this experience.

Why is it...
Why is it that when I walk up an escalator I get no where near as winded as I do when I walk up a flight of stairs. I understand that I'm moving up the incline faster on the escalator so I'm not exerting as much energy. I'm talking about walking up an escalator that's twice as long as a flight of stairs. I don't get it.
It's not important. I just started thinking about it as I almost fooled myself into thinking I was getting in better shape.

Things I Don't Care About Today
- The new OJ Simpson trial ( or the old one for that matter )
- Sarah Palin or any of her children
- John McCain or any of his wives or houses
- Barack Obama or what he's going to "change"
- Any reason for bailing out a multi-billion corporation by the US government
- Explanations for why gas prices go up at the pump when they go down on Wall St.

I'm Disgusted
CNN.com has an article on the front page covering the bailout of Fannie May and Freddie Mac. This is the first line:
I'll rejoice when the people running this nation actually think about the people they represent before their wallets. I'll rejoice when we're more worried about unfed, uneducated, abused children in this country than how many homes John McCain has. I'll rejoice when I know the quality of my children's education is no longer based on my annual income.
I'm really starting to believe that the human race is the scourge of this planet. Everything was fine until we got here.

"Mortgage applicants rejoice!"Rejoice!?!?!?! Two giant companies can't keep their shit together, causing hundreds of thousands of foreclosures (I'm the victim of three) and we're supposed to rejoice? We, the American tax payers, are going to fund the bailout of bastards who were so greedy they ran their companies into the ground and we're supposed to rejoice? Fuck you.
